We had a beautiful Japanese style room with lots of space and everything we needed included. The beds were softer than in other hotels which was perfect for me, and there was a selection of pillows to cater for different needs. The Japanese breakfast was delicious. The hotel is locted a short walk uphill from Shinagawa station. (At the time of our visit, construction was going on at the station area and the hotel shuttle bus did not stop in front of the station, which was not a problem for us). The hotel garden was beautifully illuminated at night. Due to location and the overall standard in the hotel which was excellent, I will most certainly stay at this hotel again when going back to Tokyo.

- stunning room with traditional tatami mat floors and sliding doors - really comfortable beds and pillows - lots of hanging and storage space for suitcases - staff really friendly and helpful, able to speak English - smelt lovely throughout the hotel - welcome drinks and snack with hand towels - large rooms as well - also liked the small touches such as leaving us little cards to tell us the weather for the next day - bellhop services were fantastic and efficient - liked the exclusivity and access to the lounges - hotel lobby and grounds are stunning

I had a wonderful stay at the Hanakohro. The facilities were top-notch, and I want to especially thank the staff for their thoughtful and attentive service. The kaiseki breakfast was fantastic. The seasonal offerings brought a great variety of refreshing flavors, which were perfect for the hot summer days. The room was elegant and quiet. The bathroom/shower room were well-stocked with toiletries, and the staff brought fun snacks to the room every day. I will definitely be back on future trips!

Location-wise very close to a large train station, short walking distance. Staff were amazing at Hanakohro. Most of their staff can speak English and some especially good. Going beyond expectations with their services. Definitely a plus if you can speak Japanese. Garden maintained very well. Looks amazing at night. Parking is free as long as you let the staff at Hanakohro know.

Beautiful garden with pretty night illuminations. A little zen hidden gem is located in two large Prince hotel grounds near Shinagawa Station, easy access from Haneda Airport (Keikyu Line to Shinagawa station ¥300,a super short taxi ride to hotel ¥500) The stuff is one of the best teams I have seen, seamless effort with grace and dedication.
